- Saturday June 21 Johan Åkerström reporting: Continued preparations of C1 Place: Gasherbrum basecamp "Breakfast at 5.00 am, take down the tent, hike towards C1. From hiking to climbing after about an hour, an hour later at 5 990 m. we complete a spectacular ice crossing. There after a short hike to the spot that is going to be C1. We leave the equipement, cook some food. Florin still has problems with the altitude. We decide to guide Florin back to the basecamp. The hike was very warm. Arrived at the basecamp at 6.30 pm." |
