- Wednesday June 18 Johan Åkerström reporting: Rest, Sleep, Eating Place: Gasherbrum basecamp "A day of eating, sleeping, eating, sleeping... Working on getting the communications link to operate again. Built a soldering-iron from a hook to a scale and a propane kitchen (!). Soldered a new cord to the satellite modem. Now our e-mail from the basecamp works. From the mountain we can now surf down onto our website and read about ourselves..." |
